Juice Recipes

For the past few months I've really been wanting to start juicing so I finally broke down and purchased a juicer this weekend.  Today I experimented with two different recipes that were pretty good.

I also found out that if you have a vacuum sealer you can make juice ahead of time and store it in a mason jar in the refrigerator for a couple of days and it won't lose all its nutritional value. But you should ensure that no air gets into the jar.

This green blaster juice is great for breakfast.

Green BlasterServes 2
4-5 carrots (small to medium in size)
2 small cucumbers (or 1 regular size)
1/2 handful of parsley
3 leaves of kale
2 small tomatoes
1 green onion
2 stalks of celery
1/2 gypsy pepper (but you could use red bell pepper)
1 apple
1 dash of hot sauce to taste
  • Add all ingredients to the juicer and serve immediately or vacuum seal in mason jars and store in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days.

This carrot-pear juice is sweet and delicious.

Carrot-Pear Juice:  Serves 1
1 apple
2 small pears (or 1 large)
3-4 small carrots (or 2 large carrots)
1 small piece of fresh ginger

  • Add all ingredients to the juicer and serve immediately.

Will post more in the future.
