Chocolate Pound Cake w/ Chocolate Frosting

If you like chocolate this is the perfect dessert for you.

Ingredients: 
2 sticks of unsalted butter
3 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Cream butter, shortening together then add sugar and eggs and beat well.
3. Add vanilla then add dry ingredients alternating with milk.
4. Pour into tube pan and bake for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.

Frosting: 
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 box powdered sugar (about 4 cups)
3 1/2 teaspoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
milk or cream

1. Melt butter and add sugar, cocoa and vanilla.  Add milk as needed to make spreading consistency while beating until smooth.
